Description
Our “Stage 1 filter” for 2.5” x 10” Ultrafiltration+ Filter Systems uses our polypropylene gradient filter to filter out particles, extending the life and reducing maintenance of the Micron Disruptor Technology™ element in Stage 2. Additionally, this cartridge reduces scale. The 5-micron melt-blown sediment filtration component optimizes dirt holding capability by trapping particulate (Particles 0.5 to <1 µm). This filter reduces scale by utilizing a slow release of polyphosphate media.
Key Features:
- Sediment Removal: The dual gradient depth filtration design allows for two distinct filter zones. Larger particles are trapped and filtered in the first zone and smaller particles are trapped in the second zone. This filtration capability traps sand, dirt, rust, and other larger particles suspended in water.
- Water Conditioning for Scale Reduction: This filter contains polyphosphate media which prevents the formation of scale. The media transforms the calcium and magnesium minerals, so they do not attach to pipes or fixtures, rather these healthy minerals pass through for great tasting water.
- Easy Installation and Maintenance: It’s designed for easy installation. Regular maintenance is necessary for optimal performance, which involves replacing filter cartridges at recommended intervals.
- Longevity and Durability: The filter is constructed with durability in mind, intended to withstand continuous filtration demands without compromising efficiency over time. Regular maintenance and replacement of filter elements may be necessary to ensure optimal and sustained performance.
- Certifications and Standards: The product, when used as part of the 2.5” x 10” Ultrafiltration+ Filter Systems, is CERTIFIED TO NSF/ANSI 42, 53, 62, AND 372. ONE OF THE FEW ON THE MARKET THAT CAN MAKE THIS CLAIM AND HAVE THE TESTING TO PROVE IT!
Our “Stage 2” filter uses proprietary Micron Disruptor Technology™ 5-micron filtration combined with powdered activated carbon (PAC) to significantly reduce bacteria, viruses, cysts, forever chemicals/PFAS (<20 PPT), and heavy metal particulate (iron, lead, copper, etc.).
Key Features:
- Micron Disruptor Technology™: Utilizes a 5-micron filter with a nominal rating of 0.2 microns, effectively removing both fine and coarse contaminants.
- Proven Performance: Each lot is laboratory tested to ensure consistent reduction of “Forever Chemicals” (>99.9%) bacteria (>99.9%), viruses (>99.9%), and cysts (>99.9%). Independent third-party testing has shown >87% reduction of heavy metal particulates, including iron, lead, and copper.
- Multi-Stage Protection: Works within the Ultrafiltration+ Filter System alongside activated carbon, sediment, and specialized media for comprehensive water purification.
- Durability and Longevity: Built for long-lasting performance without compromising water quality.
- Easy Installation & Maintenance: Designed for straightforward installation (professional recommended) with routine cartridge replacements for optimal results.
- Enhanced Water Quality: Improves taste, odor, and safety by removing harmful substances and impurities commonly present in municipal and untreated water.
Our “Stage 3” High-Capacity activated carbon block filter uses a 5-micron filtration to further reduce forever chemicals/PFAS (<20 PPT)., microplastics, and more. It improves taste and odor and reduces chlorine.
Key Features:
- Catalytic Carbon Filtration: The filter employs catalytic carbon, which is a specialized form of activated carbon designed enhances the filtration process by promoting chemical reactions that break down and neutralize these compounds.
- Chlorine and Chloramine Reduction: Chlorine and chloramine are commonly used as disinfectants in municipal water treatment. However, their presence can result in unpleasant tastes and odors in drinking water. Our Chlorine/Chloramine Block Filter is tailored to significantly reduce these chemicals, thereby improving the taste and smell of the water.
- Compatibility and Installation: The filter is likely compatible with standard filtration systems, making it convenient to install as part of an existing water treatment setup. Installation should be relatively straightforward and adaptable to various plumbing configurations.
